Hi, As you may know, TortoiseHg has 2 translated strings for Windows Shell & Linux Nautilus context menus; Windows registry files & PO files (from 'menuthg.py'). This means we have to maintain them in same time. I suppose it annoying for translators (incl. me).
So I propose that we have translated strings in PO files, generate Windows registry files from them using Python script(prototype availabled), and use them from Linux Nautilus extension. By this, all translated strings for context menu are in PO file. Therefore, translators can translate them on Launchpad. No more sending REG file as patch via email. Any comment are welcome :) GOAL: Share original & translated strings of context menus with Windows Shell & Linux Nautilus extension.
