I'm astonished that I haven't noticed that. I must have somehow automagically
adapted my computer usage patterns. Do you know what: a couple of weeks ago
I started reusing my old "snip.txt" file I had on my desktop...

I fully agree with TK on this. Replacing the content of the clipboard as a side
effect of simple *selecting* is not ok, IMHO. If the same effect could be 
achieved
with a less intrusive method, that would be great.

Maybe an additional context menu entry "copy revision id"?
