When I start and log in to WinXP, hg.exe runs for several minutes and blocks
the remaining startup activities.

If I look using task manager, and kill the hg.exe process, the rest of the
startup
proceeds (e.g., system tray appears).

Then 2 hg.exe processes appear, and when I kill them, then the remaining startup
proceeds.

I have been unable to find anywhere in the registry that hg.exe is invoked,
so I assume it is in the hook tortoisehg makes to modify the file icons.

Maybe this could be changed to run in parallel instead of blocking the rest
of startup?

Thanks!
Craig
