I've just uploaded a new preview release to code.google.com (090509).
This will be the last installer that has Python shell extensions, so
it may be a couple of weeks before I upload another preview.

There's about five weeks left before the 0.8 code freeze and so the
scope of what will fit into the release will begin to narrow. Here is
what I would like to fit in:

1) The C++ shell extensions, obviously. For 0.8, I expect even the
context menus to be C++. As such, the context menus in 0.8 may have
reduced functionality. Time will tell.

2) Issue #67 to be resolved, as much as possible. Once the Python
extensions are gone, I'm moving the installer to use 'py2exe -b1',
which moves 90% of what's in the current install directory inside
library.zip where it cannot interfere with other applications (the
rest of issue #67 is fixed by simply dropping the Python extensions).

3) Refactor commit and changelog to not show all diffs in default.
Instead they will collect the list of applicable files first, and then
query diffs when files are selected. This will fix a number of open
performance issues. There will probably be an accelerator key which
shows all diffs at once, if I have time to add this.

4) Time permitting, I have some more usability improvements in mind
for annotate, log, and synch.
