Context menus are now configurable from the 'Shell Ext' page of the user settings dialog. I don't forsee the menus changing any more before 0.8, and the overlay logic is probably not changing much either. I'm still entertaining the idea of adding a taskbar applet that can update overlay icons automatically for the user and perhaps grow over time to have other features. If you were waiting for things to stabilize before trying a crew build, now would be a good time to try it out. The commit tool and changelog tool will still change a bit in the next couple of weeks, but todays build is a good preview of 0.8. Because of the large layout changes in 0.8, it is suggested that you uninstall 0.7 and reboot before installing a crew installer. The final 0.8 package will require this.
