Steve Borho <[email protected]> spake the secret code
<[email protected]> thusly:

>The default TortoiseHg config file uses a command with /lro which
>tells BeyondCompare to mark the right side read-only. Which now that
>I look at it seems wrong. That should probably be /llo since it is
>the parent revision which is not modifiable, but I don't have a copy
>of BeyondCompare in front of me to verify that with.

I think I got the information from here:
<http://www.scootersoftware.com/support.php?c=kb_vcs.php>

Which puts the /ro value in opts.bcomp. Once I took that out, things
worked as I expected. (I'm using Beyond Compare 2, not Beyond Compare
3.)

I just took the magic recipe verbatim from that web page and didn't
even think that could be the cause of the problem. Thanks for
pointing me in the right direction.
