Nothing's unusual about the source filenames as far as I could tell. The 
names are like:
  src/tools/bcc.lua
  tests/test_bcc.lua

I googled around for this problem and only this post from stackoverflow 
came up:

I also tried restarting my machine as that was suggested but that didn't 
help. Is there anyway to tell what is actually being passed by tortoisehg 
to commandline like a debug mode or something? Perhaps that might show a 
clue on what the problem might be.
