If I right click on a file name, I only see "Edit". Is that what you mean by "Edit local"? If I click on it, it opens the file with Notepad. I guess that's a start, because it avoids me having to re-locate that file in my file system. But I still have to scroll down the file and locate the place with the diff that I want to fix. I'll look into Beyond Compare (which was suggested by someone else).
