How do I preserve spanish character/accent marks when committing? I have been able to replicate problem with svn 1.6.17. I am using visualsvn server on backend and tortoisesvn for commits.
Our situation is.. we have a QA person typing in spanish characters into html pages and also providing changes over email etc, and changes are getting copied/pasted into html by dev. All is good at this stage, and character is preserved. However, once a separate dev makes other code changes and commits via tortoisesvn the original spanish char is destroyed by commit. We have had to use sgml/ascii ampersand codes to skirt the issue but this is very time consuming. What are we missing? How can we avoid?
