Unless you really need a full checkout of the entire repo consider only
checking out a sub node of the repo's root path or do a sparse checkout
(pls see the TSVN docu). With a sparse checkout you can select which
directories you actually want to checkout atm and can skip those which
you don't need right now (and hence can update at a later time).
