I tried that.  I even tried to recreate the cache, but it never correctly shows 
the merges already completed like it does in 1.9.7.  I actually had to 
reinstall 1.9.7 because it's virtually unusable for me.

I also wondered if maybe there was an underlying problem with svn but when I do 
an `svn mergeinfo --show-revs eligible` is shows the expected results.
