After migrating from Windows 7 to Windows 10, comparing different versions of a Microsoft Word file with TortoiseSVN fails. In Windows Explorer, right-click on a modified file -> TortoiseSVN -> Diff, will pop up a window with the message "Windows Script Host - Error comparing work and temp", with work and temp being the path-extended file names of the working copy file and a temporary file, respectively. Also, just before the Error message pops-up, a Word window opens showing the temp-file in Read-Only mode. Clicking O.K. on the error message window will close the error message as well as the Word temp file, leaving behind an empty Word window. I found the following bug report which seems similar: https://superuser.com/questions/521743/word-2013-cant-compare-readonly-files However, this case seems to be different, e.g. for me the work and the temp file are write-able.
