Hello, I would still like this to happen. I have had to reset my column display widths every day, dozens of times per day, for a decade - it's a lot of wasted time that could be saved relatively easily by persisting the column display widths for the project monitor.
I suspect it would be relatively easy to implement, given that the horizontal splitter positions (between the revision list, the commit message, and the changed files list) are already persisted just fine.
