I'm trying to be as transparent about the TOS/POSSE alumni grants budget
as possible, so here's the status of Matt's request for video equipment
(our first POSSE alumni grant request). This will be of interest for
other POSSE alumni thinking about requesting grants for this school year
(note that as our alumni pool grows, the number of requests is also
likely to grow but the budget is not, so this year, while there are a
small number of alumni, please ask for stuff!)

The original proposal's budget request is here:
http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/User:Jadudm/PTV#Budget

I've granted budget for the request, purchased some equipment and
contacted Matt about the rest, with status updates here:
http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/User:Jadudm/PTV#Status_updates

This is also being tracked on the TOS budget page for POSSE alumni
grants, http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/Budget#POSSE_alumni_grants.

If anyone has better ideas on how to keep track of this, please let me
know - and POSSE alumni, please get in touch to let us know how we can
support your classes this school year! We're still working out what we
can do in terms of support and sponsorship[0], so please ask and we'll
figure it out together.

[0] For instance, equipment is an easy yes; conference travel to present
a class you're teaching with open source community participation is also
an easy yes; travel funding for an open source community member your
class is working with remotely to come and visit your class in person
during the term is a very easy yes. Directly writing a check to a school
to fund a course without being able to see exactly what that budget goes
towards, probably harder, but we'll discuss.
