This is something I've recently been looking at... I've been trying to
research google's api. Hopefully I can find a way for users to flag a
translation as bad and submit a correct translation. Plan B is to give users
a link to translate.google.com and they can copy the text there and file a
better translation with the system. We may also implement a system where
Transbot pulls translations from multiple sources and users vote which is
best for certain languages. Maybe add a 'translation method' variable to
each channel that can be set. Someone has already told me that Google
translate is lousy at German. So yeah, we'll see.
