Hello All,
My name is Patrick Masson and I wanted to introduce myself,
...I will be teaching a course on open source communities and practices
at SUNY Albany this Fall...
and a project the Open Source Initiative is sponsoring led by Joseph
Potvin, called the Free Libre Open Works (FLOW) Syllabus
(http://osi.xwiki.com/bin/Projects/flow-syllabus).
I see from the Teaching Open Source website that there is are three "To
do's"
* Identify any existing lists of collections of OSS teaching materials
(and if there's already a good one, link to it, declare victory and
take the rest of the day off)
* Build a list of existing collections of OSS teaching materials
* Collect ideas about mechanisms to encourage sharing of materials
I would like to suggest the FLOW Syllabus might be a relevant resource
for these. I think the FLOW Syllabus might extend Teaching Open Source's
resources because, as a syllabus, the resources of each module are tied
to specific learning objectives.
Thanks,
Patrick
