Hello everyone, My name is Nur Imtiazul Haque, and I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science (Cybersecurity) at Northern Illinois University. My research interests include cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems, IoT security, and machine learning,
I teach courses such as Computer Systems and Penetration Testing, Advanced Cybersecurity Topics, and Network and Secure Protocols. In my courses, I regularly use open-source software and tools such as Metasploit and other security-related platforms for hands-on learning and experimentation. I am interested in learning more about open-source education, collaboration, and how students can effectively contribute to open-source projects. I hope to contribute through research collaboration, mentoring students, and sharing educational resources related to cybersecurity and software development. I also look forward to learning from the community and exploring ways to integrate open source practices into teaching and research. Thank you.
