Hi, I see as part of the "epic merge" that the Widget base class now has a request method. This is a design change from the original setup for controller widgets.
The problem is, this new approach is not documented. I also suspect that it's a little hacky and something we'd like to avoid supporting in the long term. My preference is to remove this Widget.request method for now, and at some future point introduce it. Any other thoughts?
