I find this to be a HUGE plus in their favor: "For example, we do not use the contents of your email, chat, video calls, documents, photos, or voicemail to target advertising to you."
While obviously, Microsoft still uses things like your Bing search terms, they've explicitly stated several classes of private files they may hold for you that they will NOT use for targeted advertising. Very few large companies on this scale will step out and gate off that much big data from their use in that manner.
