Here is the notes from today's meeting :

Meeting 15 August 2017

Presents : Jimm, manchicken, Michiel, Chris

Points discussed :
    * New edit.tosdr.org in RubyOnRails
    * Rating system

- Users : we agreed on a need to have moderators before having the points
publish on the website/database
    * normal : submitting points
    * moderator : reviewing the points and publishing them

=> needs : database backups, approval process, automatic pushing, user
created data cached

- So far, we use MongoDB (no SQL), Ruby on Rails uses better SQL. We can
create a new database in SQL and import the old one into it.

- The Rails tool will be hosted and developped on the side the current tool
will be kept online until we agree the new one is ready
- develop the simplest tool possible, first goals :

   - * add points

   - * show points

   - * modify points

- Rating system : how to handle cases and points were the importance of a
data points (for example giving 3rd party cookies) does more harm ? This
question has not been answered so far but we agreed on the need to have a
consistent rating system. The problem is a full-computer solutions cannot
work neither can a full-legal. Need more work.

- Database of rules -- things adding each other on the points ? how do we
keep data to become irrelevant (for example having a time stamp on points) ?

- Future stuff : how can a service improve a score => need to measure the
score with transparent rules

manchicken : rules, rating system by November (mid-September)
jimms : skeleton of a rails app, auth, determine the relationships (from
NoSQL to tables -- Rails)
michiel : (not much before November), cleaning the db,
chris : learn Rails, keep the team and the group updated, follow up on the
work, frontend

Don't hesitate to add things or ask questions !
cheers !
chris
