hope that ye lot are all tops this evening. The young
ones like Madness sum up what was great about the
80s...scratch that, great about life itself. we all
knowthat Madness appeared on this show on 2 occasions
'Boring' -1982 and 'Sick'-1984. These were indeed the
highlights of the series. Looking back at it now, I do
see that some of the material has dated a little bit.
However like all,good thgings in life, a return is
immenent. You have the Madness 20th Anniversary
celebratins, now show some respect for the revisit of
Rik ('Wik'), Vivian, Neil and Mike (ya I know he was
never funny). Read this email I got this evening from
the Bottom website (for those unfamiliar no its not a
porno site but a site dedicated to the follow-up to
The Young Ones, after Filthy,Rich and Catflap).
Anyway who knows, they might get the Maddies back for
a 3rd installment!.

Other news.
With the 20th Anniversary fast approaching since they made their
cult-establishing debut, plans are coming together for a unique movie
reunion. Rik, Vyvyan, Mike and Neil are all set to return as The Young
Ones who have come back from the dead.
Nigel Planner, Rik Mayall, Adrain Edmondson and Christopher Ryan have all
had highly successful careers since the series ended in 1983, as has
Alexei Sayle - who appeared briefly in each of the 12 episodes that were
made. The plan is to show what happened to the characters since the bus
crash at the end of the last show.
Rik is now a presenter on MTV, Vyvyan's a top scientist - he has invented
flatulence-powered cars - and Neil runs a chain of sandal shops. But
things go wrong when Mike shows up with urgent problems that bring the
four back together.
If all goes according to plan, a major relaunch on tape and DVD of the
original show will concide with the film's release in 2001.
Finished filming Bottom 1 Film starting to write a second Bottom Film in
Sept, 99.

computer generated" Jolly Jelly World.
Start working on.
BBC comedy drama in the autumn called Dirty Work, which will be set in the
Cardiff Underworld.
