I've been on holiday, so missed out on the vote for
The-Singles-That-Should-Have-Been. I enjoyed everyone else's and have been a
bit quiet so far, so thought I'd chip in while still in the holiday mood.
After spending the morning reading two weeks' worth of messages (a nice way
to ease back in to work) and much head-scratching, my roll of honour is:
OSB - Rocking In Ab (100mph classic - best played VERY loud)
ABSOLUTELY - Ernie (The catchiest chorus ever? Discuss)
SEVEN - Promises (Infectious, brilliant, guaranteed to raise a smile and tap
a toe)
RISE AND FALL - Calling Cards (Two words: Fan. Tastic)
KEEP MOVING - Victoria Gardens (Shouldda been a contender, Stiff)
MAD NOT MAD - Time (See 'Promises')
THE MADNESS - Thunder And Lightning (I'm with the Maddie majority on this
one)
CRUNCH! - Pipedream (''Good evening, I'm a cloud...'' Blinding)
LONE RANGER - 4am (Back - quite rightly IMHO - by popular demand next month)
3 PYRAMIDS CLUB - Our Man (I'm a sucker for a bit of oompah, oompah)
As for The-Single-That-Never-Should-Have-Been, Sweetest Girl just don't
float my boat I'm afraid. Thanks for letting me get this (belated) 2p's
worth off my chest, see you in Newcastle on Dec 20...
