To celebrate 20 years of Madness, Dr. Martens have
issued a special 'Madness Boot', stamped with the logo
of the band who championed the footwear right from
their early days. To support the release, the band
will be at the Doc Martens London Covent Garden store
at 2pm on Thursday 30th September, signing the new
boot, purchasers of which will also get a free copy of
a new Doc Martens book, celebrating DM's 40 years of
'association with youth culture' and features Madness,
The Cure, Depeche Mode, Morrissey, Blur, The Manics,
Suede and lots more.

That night, to celebrate the launch of the book, Suggs
and the boys will perform a special set at Camdens
Electric Ballroom. Tickets are priced at 10, limited
to two per customer, with half the proceeds to be
donated to charities Shelter and the Big Issue.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 15th September
exclusively at Star Green, 20 Argyll Street, London
W1, Tel: 0171 734 8932.

Madness have a new single, 'Johnny The Horse' released
on Monday 4th October, culled from their forthcoming
re-union album, 'Wonderful', out on October 18th.
Hailed as one of the most successful singles band of
the eighties (notching up more than twenty top ten
hits), it is 14 years since the band released their
last studio album, 'Mad Not Mad' in 1985, produced by
their old stand-bys Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley
who have also collaborated on their latest offering,
which includes a vocal contribution from their old
mate Ian Dury. The band also embark on a 9-date arena
tour of the UK in December culminating in two dates at
London's Wembley Arena on the 22nd and 23rd. You can
see the full list of shows here. A web site devoted to
the 'Nutty Boys' can be found at the 'The Total
Madness Mailing List'.
