Hi maddie fans everywhere,                                              well what can I say about Thurs that has'nt already been said ?.   Many thanks to Nigel, Sarah, Adele, Jo and Denna  ( many thanks for the DM book ), Vince - I don't leave my posters laying around !!,  Steve and his wife/girlfriend ?, Juliet and her husband to be Clive, Andy and everyone else we met, we had a brilliant day,  thanks. Where else can you meet complete strangers and then by the end of the evening become good friends ?, only at a Madmeet. The boys were in great form, not only being sincere and genuinely friendly but making time for their fans.    My girlfriend Shona could never understand the reason why Madness has had such an overwhelming effect on my life but all that changed when she met and heard the boys for the first time on Thurs and said " what a lovely bunch of blokes they are, real gentlemen ", but of course that was after I caught Chas chatting her up in the DM store while I was busy getting autographs !, he towered over me when he stood up - GULP !!!!. One of the most poignant parts of the evening for me was meeting and having a good old chat with Mr John Hasler and in my opinion the most influential member of the band in the early days of Madness.   I salute you John for bringing Madness into my life and for giving birth to the best British band that this country has ever produced !!!                                                                                                  LONG LIVE MADNESS                                                                                                                                                      Goodnight and God bless                                                                                                                                                                                     NUTTY PAT
