Ok, it's time to tell you about the bargains I picked up the other
yesterday. I was in the Corn Exchange in Leeds, at about 5pm,
and unknown to me until I arrived there was a record fair happening.
In true Maddie style, I wandered over and started searching, and I
found a few interesting items such as a load of Specials singles, at
a really low price, (1 each) but it was Madness I was after really.
Anyway, found the usual lps, but bought in the end Dance Craze
on vinyl for 2, and i got Return of The Los Palmas 7 12" with the
first ever Nutty Boys comic in mint condition for 7!!!!!!!!!!!! I assume
this was a fantastic price and certainly in that condition any
maddie would love to have it.

OK, onto today, and I was down in town looing for Johnny The
Horse, as some sources had said that it came out today. It
doesn't, tried three different stores, one of then HMV, and none of
them had it. However, I also saw The Specials best of... from 1996,
and I wondered why it didn't have Gangsters on it, can someone
explain why?

Erm that's all for the moment,

Oh, and when I was down at the Corn Exchange buying my
bargains I asked this bloke if he had Crunch! and he said that he
didn't, but some of the other stall holders may have done/probably
would have it. He said he knew someone in a ska band who was
really into Madness and he thought it wasn't worth having, and the
stall holder said that others were having trouble shifting it, and I told
him I knew lots of people who would die to get their mits on a copy.
Anyway, I had a look around on the other stalls, but I couldn't see
it anywhere, but it was late in the day, and I think some of them
had gone home. There will be another sale on January 13th, so i'll
have a look and pick up as many copies as I can get, and then I
will pass them on to anyone who wants one. Also if anyone has an
extra copy that they don't want, then I am first in line to have it - if
no-one objects.

I also tried to get in contact with the Doc Martens store in covent
garden about the boots, but all I got was an answering machine,
but I left my datails, and hopefully they'll get back to me aboiut
mail order. The number for this is: 0171 497 1460. Hope you get
through!!!!!!!!!
