Yes, the shop was selling shoes but no, the shop was not really Holts Shoe
shop (even though the shop still branded the logo outside).

I spoke to the new people inside who told me that Alan Holts' grandson (who
ran the shop after Alan passed away) decided he'd had enough and sold up
last year. The staff were very cagey so I suspect that there were other
reasons.

The new people who run the shop aren't too acommodating and it took Ed
Stebbing-Allen and myself ages to persuade them to let us scribble on one of
the posters.
