I know that your e-mail was nearly a week ago, but I'm just now catching up.
Any chance of the video crossing the pond? I live in the U.S. (California)
and after reading comments on the day's events from Vince, et al, I would be
quite jazzed about seeing it on tape and thus kicking the vicarious glow up a
notch or two.
As to the recent minor on-list controversy re: Doc Martens' Madness boot, I
think that if it will put more people in mind of Madness (possibly increasing
awareness and sales of the new recordings?) and if it makes some of the fans
a little more happy, I'm all for it.
Crass? If they were lending their name to Pepsi or toilet paper, I'd say yes,
but Docs? I don't think so. Also, if Madness make a bit of money from this
(and I don't imagine it could be much) I think they deserve to.
Hell, I've been a vegetarian for the past 23 years and don't buy leather
products, but if I did, I'd be buying a pair for myself!
