Hi guys,
Ok, where to start,
The BBC are ready to film a Madness edition of Young Guns, it will be shown next April.
They interviewed John Hasler last week, who had just been knocked off his motorbike, by a van, but he's ok, bless him :o)
Then they interviewed Prince Buster, who apparently was a couple of hours late as he was doing his favourite thing when in the UK, he took the train through the channel tunnel to Paris & got straight on the next one coming back. What can I tell you, he likes trains ;o)
He arrived at the interview & sat at the table & sang Madness, then proceeded to announce that he'd spent a great deal of time & energy in Dover hacking off a chunk of the cliff to take home with him, because he loves England so much!
Marvellous :o)
Dave Robinson is nowadays a music business consultant in Hammersmith, & will be interviewed next Thursday.
They'll be popping over to Amsterdam this weekend to interview & film Mike, who has offered to take them to the first house that he lived in there, as its where he wrote 4AM.
Johnny The Horse video was filmed in the East End on the 22nd August, but filming was delayed by 4 hours as Suggs was still travelling back from Zo Ball's wedding, which is why some of it ended up being shot at night, & the director was having a bit of a nervous breakdown.
Suggs arrived, saw the crew from the beeb & said,
"That's the BBC for you, they only turn up when you're pissed & look like shit", as he hid behind the dark glasses. Obviously looking as dashing & dapper as he always does.
The young lad in the video seen being hauled away by Mike is Casper Smyth, Cathal's eldest.
During the filming of the birth scene, Cathal lay on the bed for a rest (hard work being fabulous you know) & Casper was seen to go over & stroke his Dad's head, with what was described as a look of sheer worship. Aaawwww
Woody is still keeping up his record for sleeping more than anyone else in the band, every time the BBC have gone to interview or film them, he's been found a kip ;o)
The idea for the Young Guns documentary, is that they'll be filmed walking round Camden, visiting those Mad places of days gone by etc, & then be interviewed in a nice quiet pub.
Cathal suggested that they ask yours truly to go down & spend the day showing them the full, now infamous Madwalk, & seeing as its Cathal & the BBC & how they asked nicely, (not to mention paid for the travel & lunch!) I said yes & have walked bloody miles today! By the end of it all, I think the director & her assistant were getting quite into the whole mad thing.
Special treat of the day, which really blew my mind, was sitting in the Arizona Bar having lunch with them, with the new album playing. Its bloody marvellous & I hope Virgin are finished playing with the release dates!
On a side note, for all who have seen The Full Monty, Hugo Spears (the one with the big lunch box) & the chappie with the ginger curly hair were both in the Arizona for a late lunch too.
Ok, that's all I can remember right now, I'm walked out & exhausted!

Night night
Adele ;o)
