Hiya all in Maddieland,
Just a word from another confused Maddie. Just like Paul W. I'm confused
about the release date of JTH. All the press releases recently have said
October 25th yet most of the internet record stores still say October 18th.
So can any Maddie who gets to a record shop sometime during today please
let us know if we have to leave work early to go to the record shops
tonight???;-)
And I noticed this morning that JTH now has 84.0% (!!!) of the votes on the
Virgin Radio site! We really are a sad bunch, aren't we?;-) And while I'm
on the subject, I also saw the video being spoken about on Live & Kicking's
Hit, Miss or Maybe. I can actually understand where the lovely Emma Bunton
was coming from. She was gushing about how much her and her family in
Ireland all love Madness (and she mentioned buying the door with the "Our
House" lyrics on it), but the question is whether it'll be a hit no matter
how much you like it (to a certain extent). And to be honest, I don't think
JTH is anywhere near as classic Madness as "Lovestruck" was and won't do as
well in the charts. I'll be pleased if it manages to make the Top 20. And I
don't think it is anywhere near the strongest track on the 5 Cuts promo. So
I can see what Emma meant when she wasn't sure if it would be a hit. In
saying that, I have even more admiration (is that the right word for
it?;-)) for the Honeyz now because the lass from them loved JTH and said it
wold be a hit and as Wee Stoo mentioned, she was moving very well when
everyone was dancing to Madness;-)
