I went into my local
record shop yesterday to purchase the new singles. Couldn't find them on the
shelf so I asked the assistant, who stated.
"We haven't received
them in yet"
"When do you expect
them in them" I replied quizzically. Expecting the assistant to say
tomorrow.
"Well not unless it
gets in the top 20" the assistant exclaimed.
"How the hell do you
expect it to get there then if you don't bloody sell it!" I retorted and stormed
out.
This shop is not one
of your Menzies or WHSmith jobbies, its a proper record shop, and it had
Lovestruck on the day of release. Admittedly the don't do records anymore, and
have diversified into videos and T-shirts, but haven't they
all.
This shop is hereby
named and shamed. NOW! Meridian Centre, Havant, Hants.
Had to send the wife
into the city to get my copies.
