Hello gain,

Sorry I haven't been writing to the list for a while but I've been busy
with Uni (yay!).

Anyway I've been spending a fair bit on the latest releases (naturally),
and I have to say that the video, singles and video are all top notch.
JTH is definitely catchy, one of my flat mates asked to stop playing it
for a day, and so he discovered the rest of the fine album.

The ABBA thing last night was pretty crappy, but the excellence of the
covers done by Culture Club and Madness (especially) more than made up
for it. I have to say I've never really seen much to like in ABBA, but
that version of Money Money Money was certainly a persuasive argument.
The audience seemed to love it, which I would guess means that it is
possible for the reformed Madness to make it big, though it seems they
are happy enough as they are in many ways.

BTW: I saw an advert on the telly last night for the album ABBA-Mania,
which includes all the covers, and I think I may well buy it, even at as
much as UKP12 or a bit more it would be worth it if you ask me, to be
able to have such an outstanding Madness performance on CD.

If they really want to make money for charity out of all that they
should release a triple A-side, with one of the Steps covers and the
Madness and Culture Club ones too.

Anyway - enough of me!

Oh, one more thing, I went to a record fair on Saturday and picked a
(seemingly) rare Uncle Sam 12 inch.

It has the song lyrics in Cyrillic (I think?) script on the back, and
also the tracks Uncle Sam (ray gun mix), Please Don't Go and Uncle Sam
(demo version).

How much is it worth?
