Hi Fellow Maddies, I am seeking advice from any of you out there who play a brass instrument. As I have told you guys over and over again I play guitar and I want to learn another instrument. My dad has just come home tonight and tells me that his friend is selling a "Cornet" at a give-away price, my dad has offered to buy it me, but I don't want to buy it then not use it when some other person could be using it. I picked up the guitar relativly quickly, I would like to expand my instrument range. Even if when I form a new band it is not a ska band I would like to add some depth to demo tapes. My question to you gusy is. How difficult is it to learn? I mean I picked up the guitar quickly, I have only been playing 4 years and I have been in 3 bands, 2 of which have gigged. Is there more skill involved in learning such an instrument as this? Well if anyone can help me then mail me offlist.
