Well the new album is out and as we all know is excellent and yet in reality
it has bombed.
The whole marketting and promotional department that Madness have used this
year should be lined up and shot...
It has been one f**** up after another with lack of promotion and changes of
dates etc. leaving everyone dazed and confused and very annoyed.
I personally dont think Madness will release another record cause it appears
that no one is interested, yet look at the excellent reviews. But you speak
to anyone in the UK who is just a passing fan and they say "are they still
together?".
To get anywhere in the UK charts at the moment you need to be good at
kareoki (0 out of 10 for spelling), look good and have to dance and mime, it
really is quite sad.
You also need decent promotion and that is the thing that Madness have
totally lacked.
If any of the band do read this, then please,
1. keep going.
2. get a decent record company
3. get a decent publicist
4. get a decent manager (who should do all of the above..)
5. keep enjoying it, cause the pleasure you bring is priceless.
Just had to vent my annoyance.
