There's a JTH review in last week's New Weekly mag... I know it's a dodgy arse mag (This edition has 'celebrity flashers' on the front) BUT it is a national mag! The reviewer hasn't a clue BUT he gave it four stars and at least people will know it's out. Here goes: Johnny the horse Madness English group madness are making a comeback with an album of new songs - Wonderful. This first single is a folksy, acoustic track with honky tonk piano and lyrics reniniscent of The Whitlams. **** BTW: Lovestruck was the first single in Oz AND Madness are nothing like the Whitlams who write morbid songs with morbid tunes and try and be sophisticated (They were muchbetter pre "No Aphrodisiac" and pre Stevie Plunketts death) but I digress.... These idiots should pay me insyead of their reviewer... at least I get my facts straight. Condolences to the Irish maddies... we all know how you feel.... Way down here at the arse end of the earth we haven't seen Madness since '86 (I haven't seen them at all but we won't go there...) and $1700 (About 700 pounds) for the flight (not to mention anything else) is an awfully large investment to get there (mind you I keep contemplating quitting my job and living on the streets so I can but so far people have managed to restrain (or sedate) me). I'm still trying to arrange an interview. Cathal's been very helpful although there are monumental scheduling probs in our time zone and I'm still waiting to hear what's going on with the 'official' interviews.
