I would like to give a big tip of the hat to the fellow maddie who suggested Yalplay as the source for Madness related music. I placed my order online for The Lot, Wonderful, the singles JTH and Lovestruck and received the order a mere six (6!!!!) days later stateside, with all intacted. To anyone on this side of the pond who may be contemplating an order and wondering where they can find a copy, I would heartily suggest them; they are offering free shipping through the holidays and figure in the VAT (or lack thereof outside the EU) so the total price for all abovementioned discs (the box and album plus two singles) came to around 60 dollars. Compare that to the import version of Wonderful mentioned in an earlier posting (around 38 dollars, was it?). The Wonderful album cost a mere 16 dollars!!!! What are you waiting for, man? GO BUY IT! I bet I'm one of the first on my block to one these gems. I swear the ink is still wet on the box set it's so fresh. I've been revelling in some of my old days listeneing to the lot and discovering some new gems on albums I was unable to buy here in America (7 and The Rise and Fall) Sadly I don't think it any of these albums will ever be (re)released officially in America. Speaking as a Yank, the majority of us only have taste in our mouths and not much else. If you could only hear the crap they call music over here. When I was jumping up and down with my new discs, I just got curious stares from my friends. . . . "Madness?. . . . What's that? . . . . Are they a music group or something?. . .. . Sounds like a disease. . .". . .. UGH!!! Oh well, I know I'm preaching to the converted here, so I suppose I'll go out and fight the good fight, attempting to win over new recruits with my new parcels in hand. Once again, thanks for the Yalplay suggestion.
