Hey gang! (sorry if this is sent twice but i'm having trouble with my
computer)
Hope you are all well! i went to see the concert last
night... and i just thought i'd give you an account of the
evening............
Well we (me and a friend) arrived at about 7pm, and we went
practically staight in, we had standing tickets, we were very suprised
to get right to the front!
We waited for a while when all of a sudden someone walked in through
the door everyone else was coming throught who looked just like Phil
Jupitus, i didn't think it was him, until he walked right by me it was
Phil! anyhoo we chatted for a while until half past seven when Phill
came on and introduced the D.Js...... whom were brilliant! great
Ska/rock steady music!! they were on for quite a while, then after them
it was Phill's turn to do a bit of entertaining, he came on and got
heckled, i felt sorry for him.... i really had no need to as he knew
exactly how to stick up for himself! he did his Chubaka (sorry can't
spell) impression, then made the whole arena do it too, it was so funny,
he got two people up on stage to do some kareoke along with a Beetles
cd, the first bloke did 'Yellow Submarine' then he got a kid up a
thirteen year old, who did 'Penny Lane' they both got a fiver out of
it...... i would've had a go but i wasn't picked....i'd like to know if
he does the same at your gigs and if you get picked! Phill left the
stage at around quarter to nine, the Nutty Boys weren't due on until
nine, so we had to wait again, then after what seemed like hours, they
came on stage!! wow! it was ...... well what else can i say but
AMAZING?!?!?! they did all the classics and the new songs! god i have to
say Suggs and Monsieur Barso looked apsolutely gorgeous... but then
again so did all the other lads!!!! (when don't they???) anyhoo they
left the stage after two encores at about half past eleven, i went to
get a program which was 7 (so i couldn't afford anything else.. damn!!)
i have the fleeces looked great, i would've got one if i had the money!
and i'm sorry whoever it was that wanted to know how much everything
was.. but i just cannot remember, i'd say the t-shirts were around 13
or something like that anyway.
My biggest dissapointment was not meeting all of you guys who came
as well i didn't know where or even if you were meeting, i'd have loved
to meet you, but there's always Madstock (if i can get there!) or if
something comes up first!
But for my first ever Madness concert i'd have to say.....WOW!
when's the next!!!!
i was very tempted to travell up to Bournmouth for tonight =0) .....
Speak to you all soon!
Eddie
