Newcastle was brilliant!
Me and my two buddies had a brilliant time, not least because while they were lording it up in the Casino before hand, I decided to go down to the Telewest for a bit and hang around outside.
I was sat in my car, just falling asleep, when I saw the tour bus door open, it was a little grey-haired fellow and his son.  Hold on a sec!...  I quickly snapped out of my lttle daydream and quickly grabbed my camera and a pen, and ran over to say hello.
Well, what a lovely man Lee Thompson is.  I just couldn't believe it,
"Excuse me Lee, erm, er... could I have a photo or something..."
"Yeah, sure"  etc..
There was another guy up to the same thing and we both had our pictures took with the guy, and when I told him I had nothing to for him to sign but my hand, he jumped back on the tourbus, leaving me to speak to his son (dunno which one) and re-emerged with a variety pack of Coco-Pops which he signed for me.  I couldn't believe it!!  What an absolute hero!  He then took our names and said he'd get us both on the guest list and we could just pick our tickets up later on.  Sadly, later on, the box office knew nothing of this and after much confusion and perseverence, we never did get backstage, but not to worry, as I was over the moon at having met one of my all-time heroes, and am sure he just lost his bit of paper/completely forgot/whatever.  What a star.
The gig was brilliant, my two pals (who aren't really fans) had a great time and I thought The Communicator was the best out of everything, followed by Drip Fed Fred, Lovestruck, JTH and Saturday Night.  Absolutely fantastic, can't wait until Madstock 5.
Cheers, sorry about the length, Adam.
P.S.  I think the other guy was called Chris Green or something - if you're on the list or anybody knows him, please e-mail me as I can't find his address.  Merry Xmas, Adam.
