Good morning one and all, Well I've made it back to work at last. Strangely I didn't manage to hit the road from Newcastle back to Aberdeen until after midday on Tuesday so didn't get back to work until today. Best laid plans and all that. Too much beer in that Planet Earth (bloody expensive place too!;-)). Just want to say thanks to everyone I met for making it a great day out for this Maddie at least. So a big hello and thanks to Lisa b. for organising the meet and the nosh - absolutely brilliant VFM, Geordie Al and fellow mods Adele and Jenny (and Jenny's sis), "Mr. Technology" Mike H. and his mate Ian, Emma "Fembot" Vine (Adele's description, not mine;-)) and of course a very special mention for the Scottish clan of Maddies out in force: Mad Bob W. (at least I bought 2 legitimate full-price T-shirts as well, but the grey long-sleeved with the boots was too good to resist for a fiver. Shame the boots won't survive the first wash;-)) and his brother-in-law Colin, "Wee" Stoo (don't know why he's called Wee!! And where was that Christmas party at? Ibrox was it???;-)), Iain Mason (stop calling me Dr. Gardner!!!;-)), and the one and only Mr G. (just say the word on the when and wherefors of the Scottish Madmeet), and his mates who I never got a chance to speak to but we were all bopping along at the concert together. Apologies to anyone I've missed out. And see some of the stories Iain and Emma can tell you about celebrities!!! Bloody hell! Talk about scandal-mongers! Scary, and lots of fun to hear about;-) As for the gig itself, well it just miight hav been the best ever! To have all the hits you want to hear (except "Michael Caine") interspersed expertly with 7 tracks off "Wonderful" (but no "Elysium"!!!) was magical. And tracks like JTH and SNSM, which are not my favourites on the album, sounded FAR better live. The place went pretty much bananas to JTH, and Lovestruck, obviously. And to see everyone holding their "Vote For Fred" signs aloft when they did DFF was a beautful site. There may be a bright future ahead afterall with this as a single. We can but hope. Finally, I'd like to wish all listees a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It's been quite a year for Madnesss fans and there should be plenty more to come for next year;-) All the best, Peter [no sig file!] - ______________________________________________________________ Visit the Total Madness Mailing List website for: latest news, madmeet info, list charter, games, and more ... http://members.xoom.com/totalmadmail/ Contact the TMML Moderators at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and in the message body put: unsubscribe total-madness
