Afternoon All, Well, what can I add to Adele's account of Newcastle? As always she sums thing up perfectly. I'd just like to chip in a big public thankies to Lisa (& Mark) for a top day, and how you managed to get 18 of us to the restaraunt (when some people were already somewhat the worse for wear!!) I will never know ;0) The Scottish contingent were in fine form, as always. Oh and Iain, you were very lucky to come out without a good slap (!) You know why *g*. It was fabulous to finally meet Jenny and Al, who I've been conversing with over ICQ for months with, and Pete Gardener (did I say Dr??). If I haven't mentioned anyone, sorry, but it was top to see you all. The gig was blinding, and 90 mintes passed in a blur. The only way you could realise it had been so long was how much feet were aching by the end! Mine were barking like dogs... As Adele said, the drinkies after were fab. Quite aside from anything else, Woody introduced Adele and I to Ali, his drum tech, and it turned out she and I have loads of mutual friends. Cue many stories, some of them with graphic actions!! Ashamed to admit that I did clap Adele *looks shamefaced*, but in my defence, I had just told Lee a joke that made him laugh horseradish sauce up his nose *g*, so my mind was rather elsewhere. Sitting on the bus was surreal, I'm not sure I can describe it any other way. On the drive back down to Lincolnshire, we kept looking at one another and saying "Oh my God, I can't believe we were on the tour bus!" But anyway, drinks were had at the hotel, followed by goodbyes, and numerous pleadings to drive carefully as snow was supposed to be on the way. All this followed by a VERY long drive home. I got in at about 5am, so I've only just recovered. It was, once again, a magical night, made even better by seven great blokes, and a madmeet full of stars.
