Hi all,

I hope you all had a good time at the gigs, just like I did. In my opinion
the new songs sounded really great and the classics sounded as good as
always.

Directly after I arrived in London coming from Holland I took the tube to
Camden and met up with my other Dutch friends to go to the DC. Already some
maddies where there and we had a few pints and waited for Adele.
Unfortunately Adele's car broke down so she was about two (?) hours late.
Meanwhile we had a good time and I had a nice talk with some of the maddies
(Sunbeam, Andy and Andy from Guernsey, Onthebeat Pete). When Adele arrived
it turned out that she'd lost her voice so there wouldn't be a madwalk
through Camden. It also turned out that some of the listmembers weren't
there because Adele arranged entry to the sound-check for them. Unfortunate
for us........

We just had a little walk around in Camden on our own (most of the afternoon
was gone after waiting in the DC) and agreed to meet in the Spread Eagle at
5.30h. Except for some maddies (the andy's etc.) Adele wasn't there. Were
did she go? We thought the plan was to go to Wembley all together? Well,
after a few pints we took the train to wembley and safely arrived after all.

The warming up (the dj's) wasn't that good, although they played really good
music. I think I prefer a band as warm-up. At 9 Madness appeared and did
there thing (and they did it well!). The new songs sounded surprisingly good
and they did most of the classics as well. Strange thing is that it was not
allowed to drink or smoke or eat in the arena. Stupid thing!

Anyway it was worth the trip and I hope to see them next year on Madstock
again. Maybe than we can have a proper madwalk/madmeet (and a chance to
visit the sound-check)

Bye,

HJ
