Someone asked recently about
the fade out in Suggs' song 'No More Alcohol'. Well a little bit of research
from an actor friend of mine gives us a possible lead. I thought it might have
been from a film and therefore he would know being a film buff, but no, it's
from an advert! Many years ago, there was an advert for Double Diamond, and
right at then end of this advert, a voice says "I'm only here for the
beer". Now this could either be a sample on the Suggs song or someone else
saying it. Who knows? Anyway, at least we have the beginnings of a
lead.
