Hi

I think the problem I have with the re-mastering of Divine Madness is
the timing.

Virgin aren't prepared to shell out for a promo video for DFF, yet
are happy to remaster Divine.

Sure, it needs doing (especially with the single mixes), but this
could have been done instead of the Heavy Heavy Hits release.

So why now? Oh yeah, Madness have been working their arses off
promoting singles and an album that Virgin don't seem too interested
in.

Yet another re-packaging of the hits is just squeezing more money out
of the classics. Does anyone here really believe that it's being done
for OUR benefit?

How many hits packages do we need. Complete, Utter, Divine, It
Madness, It's Madness Too, The Business, Heavy Heavy Hits, not to
mention the imports. It could easily make the band look like money
grabbers to those who don't know better.

What about re-mastering the Business instead, without the overlap from
interviews onto music tracks? And will Divine be available on DVD?

I wasn't surprised by the delay for DFF. The video was only shot a
week or so ago, so if we want it on the single, it had to be delayed.

Virgin weren't planning a DFF video, so obviously didn't plan on the
need to master it for the singles. If it's going on the disc, then the
delay was necessary.

All the best

Andy
