Okay, this is going to sound like a bit of a strange
coincidence, but my mum happened to be watching the
very same programme (honest, I'm not just saying that
to preserve my dignity), and being trained to report
back to me on anything Madness related, she phoned me
to tell me about the said comments. She said it was
something along the lines of Boyzone not going to end
up like Madness by touring in 20 years time. So I had
a wee rant about this to my poor mum, and then I
thought shouldn't we actually thank the man for making
such a promise? Two decades later Madness are still
releasing quality material, Boyzone can't manage it
first time round.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you. Don't
worry Simon I believe you weren't watching the
programme, and you mum told you just like mine did!
