I know I'm late in with my condolences (and I commend the list members for
all the moving and heartfelt messages you all displayed... Vince, Simesy,
The Langmead, The Doc, Wozza and all) but rest in peace, Uncle ...you were
an inspiration to the boys and a joy to us the veterans on this list and
also to the younger generation. Yes, you had a LOT of reasons to be
cheerful, mainly the fact that you made so many people happy with your brand
of humour and catchy tunes (how can I ever forget the thrill I got putting
on 'New Boots and Panties' on my old LP player or even listening to 'Uneasy
Hotsy Totsy Sunny Day' or the ones everyone knows about (Hit Me, I wanna be
straight, Reasons, Sex, and Drugs and Rock'N'Roll, and the glorious What A
Waste (imho STILL one of the best ever intro's to ANY song)). Thanks for
everything Ian and God bless... we all knew it was coming but like Simesy
said it was still a shock to all of us. RIP dear friend ~~ Tennessee Paul
