I had a quick online exchange with Carl this morning re: Ian Dury, DFF, etc.: Carl: I personally felt that the song had to be released whilst he was able to take part in it and not as some posthumous cynical marketing excercise. Long Live the Dury!! me: A fitting tribute regardless of chart placement--I just love that expression on his face at the end of the video when he's being carried around like the Pope Carl: me too,I know he had a very fond regard for our appreciation of both him and his work and that look on his face says it all. I felt at the time of Drip Fred's release that chart position aside I thought that dj's could have played the song just to cheer Mr.Dury up. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
