As was the case in pretty much every existing medium for communication, the
Daily Record was not alone in it's 2-page spread yesterday paying tribute to
Ian Dury, his life and times.

Today, while having no actual article, they printed a cartoon with the
bigman as the theme. I'll scan it tonight and let you know the URL, but
basically it shows Ian standing on a cloud outside heavens gates. His attire
is of rolled up jeans, overcoat, black top and white scraf wrapped loosely
around his neck, and of course his stick. He has a HUGE grin on his face.
St.Peter is standing at the gates behind a desk with a large book on top.
The quote at the bottom reads...

"At last, I've been waiting for over 20 years to ask you - what in blue
blazes is a RYTHM stick?..."
