Hi Yannick and all you other nutters out there,
Pitty I don't share your views on the tribute band One Step Behind.
I saw them about two years ago in Holland. To my suprise they were playing
in a local youth club so I was deligted to hear some Madness tunes again. I
hardly dare to mention this, but I have seen Madness perform their own
songs worse than One Step Behind (dont flame me for this ;-). (They claimed
they got more practise than Madness at the time).
I spoke to most of the band members and was really impressed by them all.
The singer was good and also had studied Suggs' moves pretty well into
detail. The manager was quite allright and gave me their CD (Absolutely
Both) and a T-shirt. I still listen to the CD quite often. Also their song
'Market Trader' is a little gem. (You can hear this track on my site's
jukebox http://www.madniverse.ivin.nl/madbox.html)
So, the question that remains is: Have they got cockey after two years or
has the whole band and management changed?
Cheers,
Luke 'nuttycloggs' Roberts
