nutters of all persuations, do you think madness would ever rerelease old songs in new versions? ever wondered what old madness songs would sound like if they were made now? i.e. madness doing covers of their own songs from the '80s , in different versions , there must have been occasions when the band were split over a decision to have a song go one way rather than another. maybe carl could take lead vocals instead of suggs , and vice versa. instead of re-re-re-releasing re-re-re-mastering the same old tunes over and over, a cheap easy alternative for madness to earn some cash and keep the fans happy with material ,say , in between new releases. like they did with... 'my girl' - ballad version 'driving in my car '- 'riding on my bike' 'tomorrows just another day'-elvis costello version.
