I'm not sure what Madness would have done if the .co.uk address was already
taken.
When Bedders was initially planning to start the Madness website he
originally wanted www.madness.com but told me that it had already been
taken. Have a look and let us know what's there! So he had to opt for the
co.uk address we now know.
The thing that's got me pondering now is that all the URL's that were
originally listed above we dished out freely by some company that you just
register your details with. What happens if for example Virgin say `Oi, we'd
like velvetghost.co.uk and we'll pay xxx amount for it`. I'm sure the person
owning the free address would probably get the two-fingered salute from the
people providing the free URL and webspace.
On the subject of the Madness website. Is it me or hasn't it been updated in
donkeys years?! Also, who won the sodding boots etc that each band member
was giving away? Did I miss the announcement somewhere?
All the best,
Robert
p.s- I hear the Queen will be knighting a certain Mr. Scat next year for his
contribution to the Madness community ;-) What a star!
