Hiya all,
Well that's me back from my hols. & i'm trying
to get through the 266 e-mails that built up while I was away - and it looks
like a lot has been happening too !
It seems that I missed a right good day on the 16th
eh - I'm glad it all went well.
Anyway, I have to tell you about this - the complex
I was staying at in Magaluf had a Karaoke on every Wednesday & boasted 2,500
songs so naturally I sifted through the list in search of Madness. As I neared
the end, I was beginning to give up hope, until I turned to the last page &
there it was "LOVESTRUCK" - ya beauty I thought & my request slip was
promptly submitted (I was wearing a Madness t-shirt too !). I sank a couple of
pints rapid for a bit of dutch courage & was soon up on stage where I gave
it my upmost ! I was proud of myself too as I managed to sing it all without
looking at the screen. During the song people started singing along to the
chorus, which was good & I got a good reception at the end of it, the best
bit for me though was when my wee boy came up & sat on the stage watching me
(I quite often put him to sleep by singing this song - he loves it ). Also my
wife got it all on video, which I haven't watched yet - but will soon to see how
good or bad I was ;o).
Finally, a wee snippet - although I never came
across any Madness in the pubs, on my last day I was again wearing one of my
many Madness t-shirts & one of the reps told me that the Prince
William pub in Magaluf had been playing Madness songs all night the
night before - missed out again !
Magaluf Madness - it certainly was !
